Hypertac presents new M23 angled receptacles

New Industrial connectors - flat 90° angled receptacles will be launched at SPS/IPC/DRIVES 2011.

Within industrial automation, 90 degree angled M23 receptacles are used as a standard interface. They transmit power and signals between control units and associated system elements in many applications – such as drives, bus and measurement systems, vehicles and control cabinets.

Hypertac’s new 90 degree angled receptacles are only 30.3mm high, making them ideal for applications with limited space. The design has also been strengthened and the shell weight reduced by 20% compared with the previous model. These ruggedized receptacles with a standard flange size of 25mm x 25mm can withstand the toughest mechanical environments.

The new angled receptacles with axial sealing are available in layouts of 12-17 ways for signal and 6-8 ways for power applications. When equipped with original and approved Hypertac contacts, unmated sealing is IP67. For signal transmission, pins with termination cross-sections of 0.14 - 1.00 mm² (AWG 26-18), and for power transmission pins with termination cross section of 0.5 - 2.5 mm² (AWG 20-14), are available.

Hypertac’s 90° angled receptacles are compatible with all current M23 series; they are UL approved and tested according to VDE standards. The new Hypertac M23 circular connectors are showcased at SPS/IPCDRIVES 2011 in Hall 6, Stand 265.
